Dr. Özgür Akın

Dr. Özgür Akın is one of Turkey’s most important entrepreneurs and scientists in the fields of domestic software and robotic technologies. He is the founder of AKINSOFT and AKINROBOTICS, Turkey’s first humanoid robot factory.

🎓 Education
He graduated from Konya Selçuk University with a degree in Computer Engineering.
He completed a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering at the same university.
He earned a PhD degree in the Department of Robotic Technology.

💼 Career and Ventures

AKINSOFT (1995)
He founded AKINSOFT in Konya on April 12, 1995.
In a short time, he transformed the company into one of Turkey’s domestic software giants with the country’s widest dealer network.
He developed hundreds of innovative products in ERP, accounting, automation, and industry-specific software solutions.

AKINROBOTICS (2017)
He initiated robotic laboratory studies in 2009.
In 2015, he introduced “AKINCI,” Turkey’s first commercial humanoid robot model.
In 2017, he founded AKINROBOTICS, Turkey’s first and the world’s first humanoid robot mass production factory.
The factory produces “Mini Ada” (social robot), “ARat” (four-legged terrain robot), and industrial robotic arms.

He advocates the vision that “The Future is in Space and Robotic Technologies.”
He pioneers domestic R&D initiatives to help Turkey become a technology-producing society.
By founding the Istanbul Robot Museum, the world’s first robot museum, he has brought technology together with society.
