Andreas Thöni
Andreas Thöni completed his PhD at the Vienna University of Technology and his master’s degree at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He began his career at Austrian Airlines, Deloitte, and Siemens, gaining professional experience in IT, project management, and operations. Following his tenure at McKinsey & Company, he has been leading the digital transformation and strategic development of the Austrian Post Group since 2017.
He holds a PhD in Business Informatics from the Vienna University of Technology and a master’s degree in International Business from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. After gaining professional experience in IT, project management, and operations at companies such as Austrian Airlines, Deloitte, and Siemens, he continued his career at McKinsey & Company, where he worked on international strategy and transformation projects in the technology, transport, and logistics sectors.
In 2017, he joined the Austrian Post Group, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic transformation and corporate development agenda. Over the years, he has led numerous transformation initiatives spanning group strategy, corporate development, and digital transformation. In 2019, he assumed leadership of the Group Strategy, Digital, and Innovation unit of Austrian Post Group as Executive Vice President.
In this role, he is responsible for managing the group’s strategic agenda, defining its digital transformation roadmap, and supporting the development of new business models while fostering an innovation-driven corporate culture.
