Sezgin Şener

Sezgin Şener is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of ToptanTR.com, a Turkey-based B2B e-commerce platform. Born in 1985 in the Tirebolu district of Giresun, Şener completed his education at Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School and later graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering at Koç University. Throughout his education and afterward, he played an active role in his family’s commercial activities, gaining operational experience in retail and supply processes at an early age.

Observing the logistics, warehousing, and distribution challenges in the traditional wholesale trade sector, Şener launched ToptanTR in March 2018. Through this initiative, he built a business model that directly connects major fast-moving consumer goods manufacturers with small tradespeople such as grocers, markets, and local retailers in a digital environment. Thanks to the technological infrastructure he developed, he enabled small businesses to compete with large chain supermarkets and pioneered the digitalization of the traditional supply chain.

Under Şener’s leadership, the platform achieved rapid growth and evolved into an extensive supply and logistics network serving tens of thousands of tradespeople across Turkey. As a speaker at industry events and economic programs focused on e-commerce, local development, and supply chain management, Şener continues to support new ventures within e-commerce-focused ecosystems alongside his work in the business world. He is married, has two children, and is fluent in English.
