Deniz Okan Savaş graduated from Marmara University with a degree in Business Administration in 2009 and began his career in the public sector in 2010 as an Assistant Customs Inspector. He was promoted to Customs Inspector in 2014, the same year he completed his studies at the Vocational School of Justice. In 2015-2016, he earned his first master’s degree in Accounting Auditing from Marmara University. Between 2017 and 2019, he pursued a second master’s degree in Commerce at Deakin University in Australia. In 2021, he was appointed as Chief Inspector of Trade, and in December 2022, he became Head of Department at the General Directorate of Customs at the Ministry of Trade. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Exemptions and E-Commerce Customs Procedures Department.
