All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all text, articles, editorial content, graphics, logos, trade names, trademarks, service marks, icons, layouts, designs, software, databases, audio, video, event materials, photographs, documentation, and other content made available through the Services, are owned by WORLDEF and/or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property, unfair competition, and other laws.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by WORLDEF.
You may not claim ownership of any WORLDEF content or materials, whether in whole or in part, and you may not reproduce or republish them except with our prior written consent or as expressly permitted under applicable mandatory law.
8. User Content, Submissions, and Feedback
If you upload, submit, post, transmit, send, or otherwise provide any content to us or through the Services, including but not limited to speaker applications, exhibitor materials, sponsorship assets, testimonials, comments, messages, profiles, biographies, photographs, videos, feedback, suggestions, or other materials (“User Content”), you represent and warrant that:

You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant WORLDEF a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, format, publish, translate, and otherwise use that User Content solely to operate, administer, improve, document, promote, and archive the Services and WORLDEF-related activities, subject always to applicable law and our Privacy Policy where personal data is involved.
Feedback, ideas, and suggestions may be used by WORLDEF without restriction or compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Editorial, Informational, and Third-Party Content
The Services may include news, interviews, commentary, event information, partner profiles, speaker materials, sponsor materials, press content, and other information provided by WORLDEF or third parties.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, such content is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, tax, investment, professional, or other regulated advice, and it should not be relied upon as a substitute for independent professional advice.
WORLDEF does not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current, or error-free. Views expressed by speakers, partners, exhibitors, contributors, or other third parties are their own and do not necessarily reflect WORLDEF’s views.
10. Registrations, Tickets, Purchases, and Paid Services
Certain Services may require payment, event registration, application approval, or separate commercial engagement.
Where applicable:
- prices, currencies, taxes, fees, and inclusions will be shown at checkout, in the relevant proposal, or in the applicable event or service documentation;
- your order or registration is not final until accepted by WORLDEF and, where relevant, payment has been successfully processed;
- WORLDEF may reject, cancel, or limit orders or registrations in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, non-compliance, capacity limitations, technical error, or pricing/display mistake;
- invoices or confirmations may be issued electronically; and
- separate sponsorship, exhibitor, speaker, partner, vendor, membership, or commercial agreements may apply to certain services.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing and registration information. Where attendance at an event is involved, you are also responsible for your own travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, shipping, customs, and related arrangements unless expressly included by WORLDEF in writing.
11. Event-Specific Rules, Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds
Different WORLDEF events, ticket classes, services, products, and commercial packages may be subject to different cancellation, transfer, upgrade, downgrade, refund, credit, rescheduling, or replacement rules.
Unless a different rule is expressly stated on the relevant event page, during checkout, in the applicable invoice, in a published policy, or in a separate written agreement:
- all registrations and purchases are subject to availability and operational approval;
- access rights are valid only for the specific event, date, category, and participant information for which they were issued;
- ticket or registration transfers are permitted only where expressly allowed by WORLDEF;
- refunds, credits, and changes may be subject to processing fees, timing restrictions, and event-specific conditions; and
- mandatory rights under applicable consumer law remain reserved.
WORLDEF may change event dates, venues, programs, speakers, session formats, access rules, floor plans, schedules, app features, or other event details where reasonably necessary. If WORLDEF cancels a paid event or cannot provide a paid service substantially as confirmed, WORLDEF may offer a refund, transfer, replacement, or credit, subject to the applicable published policy, separate written agreement, and mandatory law.
12. Event Access, Conduct, and Safety
If you attend any WORLDEF event, whether in person or virtually, you agree to comply with all applicable event rules, venue rules, health and safety measures, badge and credential requirements, QR or digital access rules, app usage requirements, operational instructions, and lawful directions from WORLDEF staff, venue personnel, or security teams.
You must not:
- engage in harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive conduct, violence, or disruptive behavior;
- bring prohibited, dangerous, or unlawful items into an event area;
- misuse badges, credentials, invitation rights, partner access, or restricted areas;
- record or livestream sessions, participants, or event areas where prohibited;
- conduct unauthorized sales, solicitations, promotions, or distributions outside your approved scope; or
- do anything that may create security, legal, reputational, or operational risk for WORLDEF, the venue, or other participants.
WORLDEF may refuse admission, revoke credentials, remove any person from an event, or restrict participation without refund where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, maintain safety, protect rights, comply with law, or preserve the integrity of the event.
13. Photography, Video, Audio, and Publicity
WORLDEF events and activities may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, or otherwise recorded for editorial, archival, documentary, security, commercial, and promotional purposes.
By attending or participating in a WORLDEF event or activity, you acknowledge that your image, voice, likeness, name, company name, booth, branding, and participation may appear in such materials and may be used by WORLDEF and its affiliates, partners, service providers, and media contractors for lawful business, promotional, editorial, and archival purposes without additional approval or compensation, except where prohibited by law.
If WORLDEF offers an opt-out or restricted-visibility procedure for a specific event, you must follow the stated process in advance or on-site. WORLDEF cannot guarantee complete exclusion from incidental background capture in crowded event environments.
14. Third-Party Platforms, Services, and Links
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party websites, apps, payment processors, ticketing tools, maps, analytics tools, app stores, hosting providers, marketing tools, social media platforms, communication services, partner pages, or external resources.
WORLDEF does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, products, availability, security, or performance. Your use of third-party services is governed by the third party’s own terms and policies, and your dealings with such third parties are solely between you and them.
15. Privacy, Cookies, and Marketing Communications
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms by reference.
Where required by applicable law, marketing communications will be sent only on the basis of valid consent or another lawful basis. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time through the relevant communication settings or unsubscribe tools, subject to our right to send transactional, legal, security, and operational communications where permitted.
16. Service Availability and Changes
WORLDEF may modify, update, suspend, restrict, discontinue, or withdraw any part of the Services, temporarily or permanently, at any time, with or without notice, where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, operational, business, legal, or technical reasons.
We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that defects will always be corrected.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranty, representation, or guarantee of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable mandatory law.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WORLDEF and its affiliates, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, representatives, contractors, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or loss-based damages, including without limitation loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Without limiting the foregoing, WORLDEF shall not be responsible for:
- third-party acts or omissions;
- errors in third-party platforms or payment systems;
- event speaker or exhibitor statements;
- changes to event agendas, venues, schedules, or line-ups;
- travel, visa, customs, accommodation, or logistics losses;
- unauthorized access to your account caused by your failure to protect your credentials; or
- force majeure events.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WORLDEF’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Services shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to WORLDEF for the specific paid service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or, if no amount was paid, EUR 100 equivalent in the applicable currency.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WORLDEF and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, representatives, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, actions, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
- your breach of these Terms;
- your misuse of the Services;
- your User Content;
- your violation of applicable law;
- your infringement of any third-party right; or
- your conduct at any WORLDEF event or through any WORLDEF service.
20. Suspension and Termination
WORLDEF may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the Services immediately, with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe that:
- you have violated these Terms or any applicable policy;
- your conduct creates legal, security, operational, or reputational risk;
- your account or activity is fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized; or
- suspension or termination is required by law, a court, a regulator, a venue, or a service provider.
Termination or suspension does not affect any accrued rights, obligations, payment duties, or remedies. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnity, governing law, and dispute provisions.
21. Force Majeure
WORLDEF shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, reduction, or failure in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, war, armed conflict, terrorism, civil unrest, labor dispute, government action, embargo, sanctions, infrastructure failure, internet or telecommunications outage, cyberattack, power failure, venue unavailability, transportation disruption, or similar events.
22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For disputes not subject to mandatory consumer law, mandatory jurisdiction, or other non-waivable legal rules, the Istanbul Central (Çağlayan) Courts and Enforcement Offices shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
If a specific service, event, sponsorship, exhibitor package, or separate written agreement expressly provides a different governing law or dispute mechanism, that specific provision will apply to that specific relationship only.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable right you may have to apply to a consumer authority, court, regulator, or other body under applicable law.
23. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
WORLDEF’s failure to enforce any provision will not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without WORLDEF’s prior written consent. WORLDEF may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, restructuring, asset transfer, group reorganization, or by operation of law.
These Terms, together with any referenced policies and any applicable supplemental terms or written agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and WORLDEF regarding the Services and supersede prior online terms relating to the same subject matter.
