CACESA is the acronym of Compañía Auxiliar al Cargo Express SA. Founded in 1987 by Iberia Airlines, and, as our name implies, at the beginning we were a freight forwarder and courier company focused on the air cargo and courier activities, primarily from Spain to Latin America, since this continent was the main destination covered by Iberia.
Today, CACESA tech & logistics is an international company headquartered in Madrid. In 2015 we inaugurated our e-commerce area.
The key to enabling our great operational teams across the Cacesa network to be able to process such a high volume of transactions with zero errors - is our in-house, self-built technology to run our e-commerce operations. In resume, we perform logistics 4.0.
The evolution of Cacesa´s e-commerce services has been exponential: from 50.000 packets in 2015; 1 Million packets in 2016, 3 Million in 2017, 7 Million in 2018, 34 Million in 2019, 74 Million in 2020 to 132 Million in 2021 and 270 Million in 2025. We remain the EU-leader in customs clearance. However, the company has changed dramatically since 2015 in its service portfolio as well as in its geographical expansion.
