Berke İçten
Born in Istanbul in 1979, Berke İçten serves as a second-generation executive in a family-owned company with over 40 years of history, operating in the sports footwear manufacturing sector and known for its “LİG” brand.
He graduated from Yıldız Technical University with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Representing the Turkish footwear industry on international platforms, İçten is actively involved in the European Confederation of the Footwear Industry (CEC) and the International Council of Shoe Industry Confederations (CIFA).
Within sectoral representation activities, he served for four years on the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters’ Association (İDMİB), and also contributed to national and international promotional initiatives as an industry representative within the Leather Promotion Group.
He currently serves as a Member of the Assembly of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) and, representing İTO, also holds the role of TOBB (Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye) Delegate, playing an active role in the business community.
He began his role as a Board Member of the Turkish Footwear Industrialists Association (TASD) in 2008 and has been serving as Chairman of the Board since July 2021. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Footwear Sector Research, Development and Education Foundation (TASEV).
Berke İçten is married and has one daughter.
