Murat Kolbaşı

Murat Kolbaşı is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arzum Electrical Household Appliances, one of the leading brands in Turkey’s small domestic appliances sector, and a prominent business leader.

Born in Istanbul in 1966, Kolbaşı completed his higher education at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Marmara University in 1987. He began his professional career in 1988 at Arzum as Sales and Business Development Manager. Following his successful performance within the company, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors in 1996 and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2008.

Under his leadership, Arzum has taken significant steps toward becoming a global brand and has pioneered innovative product projects, particularly those aimed at introducing and promoting Turkish coffee culture around the world.

Kolbaşı has also placed great importance on the development of sectoral and international trade relations. He has held key positions within the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK), including Coordinator Chairman of the Turkey–Asia Pacific Business Councils and Chairman of the Turkey–China Business Council. In addition, he actively serves on the boards of several non-governmental organizations, including the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD), the Turkish Housewares Association (ZÜCDER), and GEN Turkey.

Fluent in English, Murat Kolbaşı is married and the father of two children.
