Meta Launches AI-Powered Fashion App Style Sketch

Meta has launched a mobile application called “Style Sketch,” which allows users to create outfits from their existing clothing with the help of artificial intelligence. Integrated with Instagram, the app combines features such as creating a digital wardrobe from photos, providing personalized outfit recommendations, and virtual try-ons. Style Sketch was initially made available to iOS and Android users in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Developed by Meta, Style Sketch allows users to organize the clothes they own digitally and create different outfit combinations. First publicly revealed by social media consultant Matt Navarra on October 28, 2026, the app generates outfit recommendations based on users' personal styles and the items in their wardrobes.

Digital Wardrobes Can Be Created from Instagram Photos

Style Sketch can connect to an Instagram account and create a digital wardrobe using clothing items from previously shared photos. Users can also add their clothes to the system by taking photos, recording short videos, or uploading images from their phones.

The app uses artificial intelligence to evaluate clothing items in the wardrobe and offer different outfit combinations. Users can select a particular jacket, pair of shoes, or another clothing item and explore alternative outfits incorporating that item.

According to Meta's description in the app store, Style Sketch can display the generated outfits on a realistic digital model adapted to the user's body shape and skin tone. This allows users to examine clothing in a virtual environment before physically trying it on.

Style Sketch Recommends Outfits Based on Weather Conditions

The app's features also include outfit selection based on daily weather conditions and travel planning. Users can specify their destination, trip duration, and planned activities to receive outfit recommendations organized by day.

Style Sketch also provides suggestions on how users can recreate looks inspired by current fashion trends using the clothes they already own. Different outfit combinations can be shared with friends to get their opinions.

The app focuses on making better use of items already in users' wardrobes. Meta's App Store description states that the service is free and that users do not need to purchase new clothing to create outfit combinations.

Meta Expands Its AI Applications

Style Sketch operates in the same market as other applications offering digital wardrobe and virtual clothing try-on services. While startups such as Alta provide similar AI-powered features, Google Photos offers tools that allow users to edit clothing photos and create outfit combinations.

Meta has also recently launched several other AI-powered consumer applications. The company's products in this area include Waddle World, a virtual pet application; Pocket, a game development tool; and Vibes, an AI-powered video creation application.

It has not yet been announced when Style Sketch will become available in markets outside Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Meta did not respond to a request for comment regarding its plans for a broader rollout of the application.
