Celal Toprak
Celal Toprak is a Turkish journalist, author, and television presenter widely recognized for his contributions to economic journalism and his leadership roles within civil society organizations.
He completed his higher education at the Gazi University School of Press and Broadcasting in Ankara. His interest in journalism began during his university years, leading him to pursue an academic foundation in the field before entering the media industry professionally.
Toprak began his journalism career in Ankara as a night-shift reporter for Son Havadis newspaper. He later moved to Istanbul, where he worked for major media institutions including the Turkish News Agency (THA) and ANKA News Agency.
With more than 30 years of experience in the media industry, he has specialized primarily in economic journalism throughout his career. For many years, he served as Economy Editor at TGRT Haber, where he also produced and hosted television programs focused on business and economic developments. Today, he continues his media career as a columnist for Türkiye Gazetesi and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Türkiye’de İş Dünyası magazine.
In addition to his journalistic work, Celal Toprak has played a significant role in civil society and professional organizations. He was among the founding members of the Association of Economy Journalists (EGD) and served as Chairman of the Board for many years.
Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board of the Reliable Products Platform, where he leads initiatives and events focused on sustainable agriculture, food safety, women entrepreneurship, and partnership culture within the business world. Through panels, summits, and award ceremonies, he continues to contribute actively to public awareness and sectoral development initiatives.
