IFZA and DHL Express Establish New Logistics Partnership in Dubai

IFZA

The International Free Zone Authority (IFZA) and DHL Express UAE have entered into a strategic partnership to support Dubai-based businesses in expanding into international markets. Under the agreement, eligible companies will be able to benefit from preferential international shipping rates and cross-border trade training. The partnership particularly aims to make it easier for e-commerce, retail, and SME companies to reach global customers.

IFZA Members Gain Logistics Access to More Than 220 Countries and Territories

Eligible IFZA businesses covered by the agreement will be able to access DHL Express’s international network spanning more than 220 countries and territories at preferential shipping rates. The partnership is designed to provide companies with logistics connectivity, international trade knowledge, and access to new markets during the growth stage following company establishment in Dubai.

Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, stated that Dubai provides a strong environment for entrepreneurs to establish and grow their businesses. Hussein said that the next important step for SMEs is to take their products and services to international markets, adding that the right knowledge, connections, and logistics capabilities play an important role in this process.

E-Commerce, Customs, and Trade Finance Included in the GoTrade Program

According to information reported by Zawya, companies will also gain access to DHL’s GoTrade capacity-building program. Expert-led training sessions will cover international trade, logistics, customs procedures, e-commerce, and trade finance. The program aims to help entrepreneurs better understand cross-border movement of goods and the processes involved in entering new markets.

Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation Are Also Part of the Business Ecosystem

In its official statement, IFZA said the partnership is part of a broader growth ecosystem that goes beyond company formation. In addition to marketing support, the organization’s services include digital and artificial intelligence transformation, compliance, and professional training programs. This structure is intended to support the international growth of e-commerce and retail companies while helping them improve their digital operations.

Jochen Knecht, CEO of IFZA Global, said entrepreneurs view Dubai not only as a place to establish a company but also as a strategic hub from which they can access opportunities around the world. Knecht stated that the partnership with DHL Express will provide businesses with practical international trade knowledge alongside access to a global logistics network.

The partnership is also expected to contribute to strengthening SME competitiveness in the UAE, accelerating non-oil trade, and reinforcing the country’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and commerce.
